Most of the time I ask her to work deep tissue, and she has a way of finding that bright spot of tension and following it all the way through to the source. She pays close attention, it feels as though she's in conversation with every muscle and knot. The last time I saw her, I indulged in a hot stone massage, and asked her to try a lighter touch, just to see. Delicious trance state. Still that close focus and deep relaxation, my mind was able to let go and roam for the duration, and at the end I felt as altered as by deep tissue, but in a new way. Miri's work is a revelation.
